More than 35 years ago, Dorte and Ingo Jaich founded the company im-jaich, which is still family-owned today. Since then, a total of nine marinas on the German North and Baltic Sea coast were established, as well as the Boardinghouse and Hotel in Bremerhaven and the diverse Wasserferienwelt on Rügen. Since the foundation of the first im-jaich marina, the meanwhile various im-jaich home ports are highly popular among sailors as well as pleasure boaters – both because of their central location and the numerous amenities available and services offered on site. Today, the company is managed by Hans, Till and Nils Jaich, who hold different positions within the company across multiple locations.
Harbormasters make sure that everything goes according to plan in our marinas, but even with their full schedule, they’re always ready to lend a helping hand or answer questions that guests or skippers might encounter. Our whole team of harbormasters got together for this picture - regular meetings are not only necessary to exchange news and experience, but also to tell stories from our harbors up and down the coast!
The captains in our Hotel and Boardinghouse Bremerhaven make sure that teams are ready at all times: Together, we make sure you feel comfortable, clean rooms, whip up meals and are always ready to advise you with the best tips for interesting excursions. Our delight in a job well done and hospitality connect us better than anything else - we’re always glad to be there for you and hope that you feel as comfortable as possible during your stay!

Company founder Ingo Jaich not only recognized the importance of shipping 40 years ago, but also dealt intensively with the topic of hydraulic engineering. This is why he founded the Ostseedienst GmbH in Arnis, which is active in the field of port and hydraulic engineering, dredging, salvage and rental of pontoons and barges.
Due to lack of space, the company relocated its headquarters to Kappeln in 1979, and moved to the newly acquired waterfront property. There, the new site was extended by the construction and reconstruction of office and workshop buildings, a hall, slipway, shipyard bridge, a shipyard crane and dolphin berths. With the acquisition of the former, old building yard of Kappeln town in 2003, sufficient space capacity for the future was secured.
Our characteristic: Quality
Thanks to our well-trained employees, their competence and many years of experience, we ensure that everything runs smoothly, and orders are fulfilled thoroughly and satisfactorily. In doing so, we are able to independently solve most of the trade parts in hydraulic engineering. In case of non-executable requests, we put them in the hands of qualified subcontractors with whom we have been working together for a long time.
