princely residence and port city

Landgang

Putbus, the “white city of the north”, has cast a spell on visitors to Rügen for centuries – including famous artists and kings. It was Prince Malte who realized his dream of a classicist residential town with a large English landscape park. Culture lovers in particular get their money’s worth here: whether in the historic theater, in the orangery or in the gallery at the circus. The district of Lauterbach with its harbor and the Kaiser Wilhelm Bath was once a popular meeting place for the European nobility. Behind the Goor bathhouse begins the almost untouched nature of the Goor Forest with wonderful walking paths and the Path of leisure and knowledge.
