If we take the idea of sustainability seriously, our current way of life must not limit the natural resources of future generations. Unfortunately, we are still a long way from achieving this goal. There is still a lot to be done in this regard for the im-jaich water worlds too - but the first important steps have already been taken.

Our operational sustainability management aims at reducing resource and energy consumption, preferentially using environmentally friendly products and compensating through sensible compensation measures.
Our commitment in these areas has already
bore some fruit.
Our hotel in Bremerhaven has been rated by Viabono with climate efficiency class A. Since we compensate for remaining CO2 emissions, we can offer certified climate-friendly overnight stays.
Our water holiday world is a recognized partner company of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve.
The company energy center in Lauterbach was recognized as a best practice in the Rügen bio-energy region.
From NABU our water holiday world on Rügen once again received the “Swallow-Friendly House” award.
With over 200 breeding pairs, the water holiday world is the largest known swallow colony in the region.
We are thrilled: our company has won the German Demographics Award in the category “Sustainability, taken seriously”!
The award recognized not only our commitment to sustainability, but also our innovative research cooperation with the TU Berlin and the HSBA.
Especially in the water holiday world and in the natural oasis on Rügen the compatibility of nature, wildlife and tourism becomes visible: otters frolic on the stone pier of the water holiday world or under the terraces of the waterfront houses, seals hunt fish in the harbor basin in the winter months, swans breed directly on the jetty of the floating houses.
